Belgian Waffles with Sour Cream and Fruit Preserves

Waffles are so easy to make, and the sour cream/preserves topping is super delicious.

Makes 4 servings

2 large eggs
1 cup Lilly sour cream
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch salt
1 cup Lilly Sour Cream
1/4 cup strawberry, raspberry or cherry preserves

1. Heat your waffle maker.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, Lilly Sour Cream, milk, butter and vanilla.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

4. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry. Mix just until combined. Don’t over mix.

5. Spray the hot waffle maker with nonstick cooking spray. Spoon the batter onto the waffle maker compartments and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

6. Serve immediately, topped with sour cream and fruit preserves.
