Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

oatmeal sour cream cookies

These delicious, chewy oatmeal raisin cookies make cold winter mornings bearable!

Makes 24 cookies

1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup unsalted butter, soft
1 cup sugar
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup LILLY sour cream
1/2 cup dark raisins

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and oats.

3. In a large bowl, use a handheld electric whisk to cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, then the vanilla, and finally LILLY sour cream.

4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Fold in the raisins.

5. Drop heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake 15 minutes, until golden and set. Cool 10 minutes on baking sheets, then transfer to cooling racks to finish cooling.
